A book about a group of women who were influential figures in the birth
of the United States has been bought by Tracy
Behar, editorial director of Pocket
Books Press, its new hardcover line.
It is "The Founding Sisters" by Melissa Bohrer, a Columbia grad and
journalist who is herself a Daughter of the
American Revolution with a family
history dating back to early days. Behar bought her book from agent
Noah Lukeman at AMG for U.S., Canada and open market, and plans to publish
in 2003.
