Brenda Shoshanna, Ph.D.

    Brenda Shoshanna has been published in a wide array of prestigious magazines, including The Threepenny Review and The Lousiville Review, and has been anthologized in the Best College Stories (Random House). She is a recipient of the Elizabeth Janeway award for fiction, and was a finalist in the Heekin Award for Fiction. She is also a successful playwright, having had numerous off Broadway productions, and has been playwright-in-residence at the JRT and the Ensemble Studio Theater. She holds a Ph. D. in clinical psychology, and the author of many successful non-fiction books, including WHY MEN LEAVE (Putnam/Perigee), 365 WAYS TO GIVE THANKS (Carol) and JOURNEY THROUGH ILLNESS (Steppingstones).  She recently completed a new novel, BOX 85, a romantic comedy in the vein of The First Wives Club.
