Phyllis
Moore is author of the story collection A
COMPENIDUM OF SKIRTS (Carroll & Graf, 2002). Her stories have been
short-listed in BEST AMERICAN SHORT STORIES and THE PUSHCART PRIZE, and
published in Redbook, Georgia Review and Mississippi Review.
She has received endorsements from Jane Hamilton, James McManus, Rosellen Brown
and Padget Powell, and others. She has been awarded numerous arts council
grants from the states of Florida and Illinois. She received her Ph.D. in 1991
and presently teaches in the MFA Writing Program at The School of the Art
Institute in Chicago.
